I've heard from multiple sources that corporations are required to put profit above other interests. Is this true? If so, under what law or standard?What law requires corporations to put profit above other motivations?
Corporations that do not do everything in their power to maximize return for their stockholders go out of business very quickly. There is no law. There is only the reality of capitalism.
