What law prohibits a minor going to a different state to get married with parental consent?

Is there a law that prohibits a 16 year old minor to get married to an 18 year old in a different state if the parents give consent that they travel there? If so, what law is it?What law prohibits a minor going to a different state to get married with parental consent?
Making the assumption the consent was only to travel and not get married, it doesn't matter. You can cross as many state lines as you like. No state will allow a 16 year old to get married without parental (or court) consent.

The law allows minors under the age of 18 to get married WITH parental consent. That means two 14 yearolds can get married, so long as the parent agrees to let it happen. The only law that will not recognize minors under 18 as married happens to be Common Law Marriage, and only very few states actually recognize Common Law Marriage. But you can check with each S.R.S (State Revised Statute) to see what their laws are on minors getting married. I do believe they will allow 14 yearolds to get married so long as a parent has given the ok, and this ok has to be a written legal paper. You can look it up on the internet as well for parental consent forms on minors getting married.
