What law in China prevents people from helping other people in accidents?

For example a person got run over by a car then a person helps the person who got run by a car, then the person who helped got penalized by the government of China. My question is what law is that? don't need racist comments, if you ain't going to say something nice then don't comment at all. What law in China prevents people from helping other people in accidents?
People are afraid of lawsuits and being detained by the police.
It's not a law. It's actually a result of a lawsuit in which an old lady got hit by a car, a good Samaritan stopped by to help her and called ambulance. After she got better, she sued the man who helped her because she doesn't want to pay ambulance and Emergency rescue team fees. After a complicated and exhaustive legal battle, somehow the jury ruled in her favor, prompting the good man to pay all her ambulance fees.

This ruling is causing many Chinese people to become reluctant in helping others who got run over in accidents. It doesn't guarantee that future rulings will always be like this, but this recent case has set a precedent in the justice system, that lawyers will definitely bring up this ruling in future lawsuits.

On top of this, you have to realize that there is 1.3 billion people in China, and human life is not valued there as much as in Western countries. Everyone is trying to get ahead, and destroy competition, so they literally have to run other people over. This is how China is getting 10% GDP growth each year. If people stop to help other people, it would slow their economy down, and this obviously is not acceptable.

In addition to all of these again, the girl who got run over was in Guangdong Province. God help you if you live in Guangdong province, the most crowded place on Earth. That's where all epidemic starts, SARS, bird flu, etc, due to frequent contact between human and humans, and humans and animals. Everyone is minding their own business. They have to, or someone else will get ahead of them. You have to be tough, or you will get eaten alive. I'm not saying this is right. But it's their way of life. What law in China prevents people from helping other people in accidents?
There's no law like that at all!

What you described is a phenomena that when an old man gets a fall on a road, no one would help that man. That's because, there are so many cases in which a person who got a fall and got help charged the helper with offense in return. And they usually won the case.

So,there's no one who dare to help a man who get a fall now.

That's a moral degeneration, nothing about law.
Its not a law. However in the Chinese culture if you rendering aid to someone in need then it must have been your fault. One example is a lady fell in a pool but couldn't swim and then sued the person that saved her because he must have been the person that pushed her. Because of this element in their culture they tend to mind their own business and stay out of it or they might get blamedWhat law in China prevents people from helping other people in accidents?
no law they just belive that it messes with fate
Are you asking this question because of that video of the toddler that was run over recently? So sad. :(
IT's not low.People just afraid this thing and his involvement, so many people have the heart to save is not to go.
