Is the Federal government better at telling us what to do than the individual States?

Many people don't feel that they, or anyone else, is qualified to make laws and govern their own state at the most local level. The best solutions always come from the central government and Washington DC always knows best what will work in Texas or Idaho. Many people today loathe the concept of the 10th Amendment and are downright fearful of having the individual states decide for themselves.

How is the Federal government always much better at telling us how to live our lives, than the legislators of the individual States? Why are so many frightened at the idea of states making laws for themselves? Is local government really that scary? Is the Federal government better at telling us what to do than the individual States?
History says HELL NO!
Some government activities benefit from uniformity across the entire country, and some do not.

Essentially all civil and criminal law is within the control of the states.

There is, however, much in business law that benefits from country-wide uniformity. Is the Federal government better at telling us what to do than the individual States?
Well one only need look at our great victories during WWII, when the Alabama Marines, the Tennessee Navy, the Alaskan Coastguard, and the Virginian Army and South Dakotan Army did such a fine job!

(You grasp that the INTERNET is a Federally-managed, Federally-regulated entity, right? Do you have ANY idea how ironic your question is, in light of that fact? Silly goose!)
There is nothing more patriotic than limiting the Federal government to the few things which it is empowered to do by our Constitution. Is the Federal government better at telling us what to do than the individual States?
Who Can deliver to us total freedom from NWO coming operation?
O yeh...real good..
Some states have proved that they can rationally and fairly govern their people. While others would sooner have the bible a mandatory school book. States like Texas have only reformed because the federal government made them. Up till 2003 sodomy was illegal in Texas and people were arrested for it.......... Look at how Texas has treated its minorities, look at Arizona, police would be pulling over Mexicans because they are brown and asking them for proof that they are a citizen...... Yep, sounds like freedom.

@jcs78, I am a resident of Idaho, I love the state of Idaho and I have the right to live in Idaho without having my rights taken away. I do not want to move to California so that I can live freely, I want to continue living in Idaho freely. This is the UNITED STATES, not the seperate and unequal states......
I personally believe in State's rights. I feel what is best about this country is states rights. If the government decided everything, there would be no need for states. Everyone would have to accept 1 group of laws. With states rights, if you do not like the state laws, you have freedom to move, without papers like in socialist countries. For example, everyone anymore seems to want to make abortion and gay marriage federal interests. For those that agree with those can move if the state they live in do not allow it. For those who disagree, they can move if the state does allow it. This is JUST A SMALL EXAMPLE. If everything was federal control, you would have to accept laws wherever you are.

KEEP IN MIND, we were founded as a REPUBLIC, not a democracy. The founding fathers feared democracy. This is because the minority had no say so--- example, government healthcare.... This was rammed down everyones throat when it was "a fad." Now many people are turning against it. Up until 1914, the people elected the House of Representatives. Their job was to represent the PEOPLE of the state AND TO ENSURE the monority wasn't getting screwed on new legislation. The Senate was elected by THE STATE LEGISLATURES to represent what the state wanted. After 1914, the house as well as senate was elected by the people..... So it is now a Democracy where Fads and the wants of the federal government can easily manipulate the voters (the people).
