Burka ban in France: what prompted this decision?

Hello, my name is Carmen and I live in the USA. For several months now, I have been coming across news articles saying women who wear the burkah will be fined. I guess I can understand that. But, why is there another law that says a husband/brother/father who forces a woman to wear a birkah will also be fined or jailed? This last bit I do not understand.Burka ban in France: what prompted this decision?

because it is unlawful to force another person to break the lawBurka ban in France: what prompted this decision?
It is called freedom for the women, who are enslaved by men predenting to be muslim (there is nothing in the Koran about burka and other veil...) and you are so afraid that their lack of virility will throw their mates in the arms of real men...Burka ban in France: what prompted this decision?
There's two things to take into account. One is that in France religion is part of the private life sphere so gives you no right to ignore French law or ask for exceptions.
The second one is that a burka is seen as a sign of submission and inferior status, a woman wearing it says that she has handed over all her rights to her owner, voluntarily or not. Which is very close to slavery.
France has this weird belief that women are not slaves or property of their male kin or husband, forcing a woman to wear a burka, taking from them the rights given to them by the French Republic just because they think their own religious rules gives them the right to ignore French law is thus illegal.
